  1. Exceptional Sound and Truly Portable Design..But could be better This iHome iD48 portable speaker system for iPad, iPhone, and iPods sounds exceptionally good! To be honest, it’s the best sounding portable speaker system I have heard for Apple products… especially factoring in the size of the unit. I love that it has a built-in rechargable lithium-ion battery which makes this thing a truly “portable” speaker.   2. Ipad2 does not dock easily After reading the excellent reviews here, I bought this dock primarily for use with my Ipad2. Once I set it up, however, I struggled to get the Ipad onto the docking connector for about 10 minutes before asking my tech-savvy 23 year son to try. It even frustrated him, taking him several tries before he could get the connector in and he immediately pronounced it poorly designed, suggesting I take it back and get something more user-friendly.
