Apple has announced that App Analytics, a tool that helps developers track how users are engaging with their apps, now supports tracking Apple TV apps. With App Analytics, tvOS developers will now be able to gain insight on how many views their App Store page has received, track in-app purchases and more. A particularly interesting addition is the ability for developers to track how often those who acquired an app on iOS then downloaded and opened it on tvOS.
App Analytics is a feature of iTunes Connect that first became available to all developers in beta form in May of 2015. Beyond stats on in-app purchases and marketing reach, App Analytics allows developers to view crash analytics, user retention, regional breakdowns and much more.
